Flat roofing in West Malling

We strip back to the joists if the deck has gone soft, lay new OSB or ply decking, and build the roof up in layers with a cap sheet finish. Falls are set so water runs to the gutter instead of pooling.

Rooflights and lanterns are the most common leak point on a flat roof. We fit new kerbs and dress the membrane up and around them so they stay watertight.

We are based in Offham, a couple of minutes from West Malling High Street, so this is our home patch. The town centre is a conservation area with Georgian frontages and older clay-tiled roofs, while Kings Hill next door is almost entirely modern housing built since the 1990s on the old RAF West Malling airfield.

That mix means very different jobs within a mile of each other: matching handmade-style clay tiles and keeping a period roofline right in the old town, and upgrading tired mortar ridges and verges to dry-fix systems on Kings Hill estates now reaching 25 to 30 years old.
