Common questions
We are based in Offham near West Malling and cover Kings Hill, the Malling villages, Maidstone, Aylesford, Snodland, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Tunbridge Wells and the villages between. Send your postcode if you are unsure.
Yes. We visit, look at the roof from the ground and the loft, and send a written quote that lists the tiles, membrane, ridge system, scaffold and waste. There is no obligation.
If the leaks are in one spot and the rest of the roof is sound, a repair is usually right. If tiles are porous, the felt underneath has perished, or leaks keep appearing in new places, a re-roof is normally better value. We will show you photos and explain which applies.
Yes. We fit in-roof solar mounting trays as part of a re-roof so the panels sit flush with the tiles, and we can work alongside your solar installer for the panels and electrics.
Most re-roofs on a typical Kent semi or bungalow take from a few days to a week on site once the scaffold is up, depending on the size of the roof, the tiles and the weather. We will give you a realistic timescale on the quote.
We strip and re-cover one section at a time and keep membrane and temporary sheeting on hand, so the house is never left open overnight or when rain is forecast.
Yes. You get a written workmanship guarantee, and manufacturer guarantees apply to the materials where relevant. The terms for your job are set out in the quote.
We can inspect the damage, take clear photos and write up what we found and what is needed, which you can pass to your insurer. The insurer makes the final decision on the claim.
About our roofing work
Concrete interlocking tiles, clay plain tiles, slate-effect tiles and traditional clay hips and ridges, including bonnet hips. We try to match existing tiles on repairs and extensions.
Yes, on most re-roofs. Mechanically fixed ridges, hips and verges do not rely on mortar, so there is nothing to crack and fall into the gutters. Where a traditional bedded finish suits a period property, we can do that instead.
We mainly fit built-up felt flat roofs with a mineral cap sheet, on new OSB or ply decking where the old deck has gone soft. We fit and seal rooflights as part of the job.
Yes. As a roofing and construction company we fit trusses, membrane, battens and tiles on extensions, garages, bungalows and new homes, and tie new roofs into existing ones.
Yes. Ask and we will send you our insurance details with your quote.
Yes. Old tiles and battens go in a skip or are taken away, gutters are cleared of debris at the end, and we clear up each day.
